Recreation of an Antarctic expedition travel site in 30 pages, including pages hidden in the mega menu
How it was made
The original is an Antarctic expedition travel site where photos cover 80% of the screen.
Faint vertical grid lines stay over the photo, so a reference point remains visible while scrolling. Sentences darken one word at a time as you scroll.
Collecting home links alone did not reveal the whole site. We found the pages that only appear when the mega menu is clicked and built 30 pages.
Pages are generated from 6 templates and data. Body text is navy (#1f2a44), and the three typefaces split roles by size range.
Photos were replaced with ones matched in luminance distribution. White text does not disappear over the photos.
