Cinema lens rental
Cinema lens rental site that presents 9 lenses through spec tables and optical cross-sections
How it was made
A lens catalog is all numbers: focal length, T-stop, minimum focus and weight.
So the design challenge was narrowed to making the spec table readable.
Only neutral grays were used, with no accent color. Stock is shown with filled and empty squares.
Two typefaces are used: a grotesque for body text and a monospace for figures.
Instead of photos, an optical cross-section was drawn for each lens. The lens name sets the element count and curvature, so each lens has a different drawing.
18 pages were generated from data.
