Recreation of a luxury car body repair shop site in 7 pages, including services, partners and careers
How it was made
The original is the site of an Australian luxury car body repair shop. It won Site of the Day along with the Developer Award.
The industry stays the same, and the business became a fictional Sydney workshop. The 12 real car brands were replaced with fictional marques.
Backgrounds are only white, black and dark grey #191919. A 12-column grid with 32px side margins uses six type sizes.
The 12 marques light up one by one on scroll as the photo on the right changes. The photo slider previews the next photo beside the cursor.
The original hero video became a crossfade of 3 photos. The unmute button slot became a pause and play button.
Typefaces are Schibsted Grotesk and Saira Semi Condensed. It is built with CSS and vanilla JS, without libraries.

Points to check
