Fictional type foundry
Type foundry site where visitors adjust the axes of six variable typefaces and calculate license prices by use
How it was made
Oversized type specimens are the focus; there are no photos.
Every specimen's first line has five guide lines from ascent to descent. The lines follow as the axes move.
The difference between the drawn baseline and the actual baseline was measured and confirmed at 0px.
The six displayed typefaces are real fonts released under the SIL Open Font License. Names and designers are credited as in the originals.
The footer, detail pages, FAQ and cart state that the foundry and prices are fictional.
Price is the base price multiplied by factors for user count, monthly page views and number of apps. An order form is included, but payment is not connected.
