How it was made

The city observatory of Yeoneul, a fictional city. Its site is set on the west ridge of Yeoneulsan at 612m above sea level.

The home screen is a circular star chart with a time band from 18:00 to 05:00. Object information reads as almanac tables.

A single red (#FF6A5C) on a navy background (#0B1228). Typefaces are Pretendard and Red Hat Mono.

Positions of the sun, moon, planets and 89 stars are calculated in the browser. Pressing a time button turns the star chart to that time.

The observing index is derived from cloud, moon, transparency, seeing and sky brightness. The formula and inputs can be expanded on the home page.

The booking screen checks open seats, guardian ratio and age, and calculates the price. There is also a red screen toggle.
